We were in Santa Fe for just a few hours as we headed home from Albuquerque. I liked the oldest church (San Miquel?), the oldest "house," and Francis of Assisi church. Lots of history and art in those places. The downtown seemed a bit too touristy for my taste, but we didn't have time for much else.
The downtown is pretty touristy but mixed in with the tourist shops are some great little galleries -- and then that Canyon Road selection -- so, so nice. Just wish I had a bigger budget to buy everything I liked. I just love the adobe-style architecture--so very different from Wisconsin.
I only spent a short afternoon in Santa Fe. I need to return and stick around a few days.
Really neat city -- lots to offer -- we will definitely be going back. :)
I've got friends who live in Santa Fe, and it's on my bucket list. Thanks for the recommendations. I know I would love it, too.
So much fun -- we're definitely going back sometime. I need to seriously think about how much money I can spend on some art.
